Refugee Action
The Movement Building & Lived Experience department exists to build the power, influence and leadership of refugees and people seeking safety, to challenge the UK hostile environment and the inequalities within asylum, housing and immigration advice systems.
We work closely with the team to manage their website, build digital confidence, and improve accessibility and user experience. Due to safety reasons in the UK, website pages are occasionally password protected. Surnames are removed from the team page and custom illustrations created in place of headshots.
Each month we plan and deliver updates collaboratively, guided by their priorities and audience needs. We work with people with lived experience of the UK asylum system, taking care to create inclusive, respectful spaces and make sure our process centres dignity, choice, and inclusion.
